How do I get a price?
Start on the pricing page — a job is priced by how much room it takes up in the trailer, or by a flat rate if it's a single item. Then snap a few photos of the pile and send them through the booking form, or text them to (760) 477-4668, so we can confirm what's there and get you on the schedule. We don't send prices by text or email. Your firm number is handed to you in person, before any work starts, and you're free to walk away.
When can you schedule a pickup?
We run Monday through Saturday, 8:00 to 6:00, and we book same-week whenever the calendar allows. Send the photos and we'll come back with the windows that fit your schedule — text and email are for scheduling and questions, which is exactly what that reply is.
What areas do you serve?
The core zone is North San Diego County: Vista, Oceanside, Carlsbad, San Marcos, and Encinitas. We also run out to Escondido and Fallbrook. Same prices either way — the drive is already inside the number, so nothing gets added for the outlying spots.
What kinds of items will you take?
Furniture, mattresses, appliances, garage and shed cleanouts, estate and rental clear-outs, hot tubs that are already disconnected and disassembled, e-waste and electronics, exercise equipment, and yard debris. If it's bulky, it isn't hazardous, and it's already detached and down, odds are we can haul it.
Are there things you won't remove?
Yes. Hazardous material is off-limits: chemicals, wet paint, asbestos, motor oil, gasoline, propane, medical waste, and ammunition. San Diego County's household hazardous waste program takes those, and we'll point you to the right drop-off.
Do you donate and recycle what you haul?
Whenever something still has life in it we try to donate it, metal goes to recycling, and e-waste — TVs, monitors, electronics — is recycled properly instead of landfilled. Only what's genuinely finished goes to the dump, and the disposal fees are already inside your price.
How is the final price determined?
By which tier your load lands in — how much room it takes up in the trailer, or the flat rate if it's one item. Photos let us confirm which one that is before we drive out. When we arrive we walk the job with you, confirm exactly what's leaving, and give you a firm price in writing before anything gets loaded. Labor, loading, hauling, and dump and recycle fees are already in that number, and nothing is added afterward.
Is there a travel charge outside the core area?
No. One price list for everywhere we work, Escondido and Fallbrook included. The drive is already inside the number, so the total doesn't move on you at the curb.
What do you haul it with?
A 1997 Ford F-350 dually pulling a dump trailer. Big enough for most household and yard loads, small enough to get down a residential street or a long dirt driveway.
Are you a veteran-owned business?
Yes — Junk Burro is Marine veteran-owned, based right here in Vista. And you'll never go through a call center or a middleman to reach us.
How do I pay for the service?
Payment happens on site, once the price is agreed and the work is done. Nothing to chase down afterward.
What if my fridge or freezer needs refrigerant recovery?
Fridges, freezers, and AC units are fine to haul. Certified refrigerant recovery is already built into the flat price for those, so the figure on the pricing page is the whole figure — nothing gets added on site.
You get your firm price from me in person, before anything moves — labor, loading, hauling and dump fees already inside it.
