Who you're dealing with
Junk Burro is a junk removal and hauling operation based in Vista, California, serving North San Diego County. Veteran-owned · Vista, California. The person who quotes you is the person who hauls it.
Quotes and prices
My prices are published on this site. Photos let me confirm what's actually there before I drive out — they are not a bill and I do not quote a final figure by text or email. I walk the job with you when I arrive, confirm exactly what's leaving, and give you the firm price before anything gets loaded.
You get your firm price from me in person, before anything moves — labor, loading, hauling and dump fees already inside it.
Nothing gets added after: no fuel fee, no dump surcharge, no surprise on the invoice. And if the pile turns out bigger than the photos showed, you hear that number before I touch anything. Send me home if you don't like it. No fee, no hard feelings.
What I'll haul, and what I won't
The current list of both is on the services page. Hazardous material is the hard line — chemicals, wet paint, asbestos, motor oil, gasoline, propane, medical waste and ammunition all have to go through the county's household hazardous waste program instead, and I'll point you to it. If something hazardous turns up mid-job, I'll leave it and tell you why.
I haul things that are already disconnected and already down. I don't do demolition, and I don't take structures apart.
Your stuff, your property
When you point at a pile, you're telling me it's yours to get rid of, or that whoever owns it said so. Walk the load before I take it — once it's hauled and disposed of, it's gone, and I can't get it back. Check pockets, drawers and boxes for anything that matters.
If I damage something of yours while I'm working, tell me and we'll make it right. That's the whole warranty and I stand behind it. Where the law lets me set a ceiling, what I owe for a job is capped at what you paid me for that job. Nothing here takes away a right California law says you have.
Scheduling and payment
Free to cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before your window. Inside 24 hours or a no-show, a small trip fee may apply.
Payment happens on site once the price is agreed and the work is done — nothing to chase down afterward. Disposal and recycling fees are already inside the number I confirm with you.
Text messages — the full terms
What the program is
Junk Burro runs a customer-service text program for people who ask us for a quote or a haul. It is not a marketing blast list.
How you opt in
By ticking the standalone, unchecked box on the quote form that says it's OK to text you, or by texting the business line first. Consent is not a condition of any purchase — you get the same quote and the same job either way, and you can just ask me to call instead.
What you'll get
- A reply to your booking request, confirming what I'll be hauling.
- A link to send more photos, if I need a better look.
- Confirmation of the date and arrival window you booked.
- A heads-up when I'm on the way.
- A follow-up after the job asking how it went.
How often
Message frequency varies. It follows your job, so it's typically a handful of messages around a quote and a pickup, and nothing in between.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. I don't charge you for texts; your mobile carrier may, according to your plan.
HELP and STOP
Reply HELP to any message for help, or call (760) 477-4668. Reply STOPto any message to opt out — you'll get one confirmation that the texts have stopped, and then nothing further. You can opt back in any time by texting START, or by ticking the box on a new quote.
Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Not every handset or carrier supports every message type.
Your number
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with anyone. The whole picture is on the privacy policy.
This website
The copy, photos and marks on this site are mine — don't reuse them as your own. I try to keep every page accurate, but a website isn't a quote: the number I confirm with you in person is the one that counts.
Changes and the legal bit
If these terms change I'll update this page and move the date at the top. California law governs, and anything we can't sort out between us belongs in the courts of San Diego County. If any line here turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
